Pale Ale

An excellent all purpose base malt. Well modified and kilned to a slightly darker color for enhanced malt character, this malt is suitable for making nearly any style of ale or lager. 2.6-3.4°L

Pilsner

Weyermann® Extra Pale Premium Pilsner Malt has a very low Lovibond range, which makes this malt an excellent choice for continental lager styles, as well as ales, looking to achieve a pale  straw-gold color.  This malt is also great for imparting the Pilsener style flavors and aromas that define the popular beer style. 

Munich 1

Weyermann® Munich Type 1 malt ('Light Munich') is a kilned lager-style malt made from quality, two-row, German spring barley. Usually used a specialty malt, it has a high enzyme content despite its color, and can constitute up to 100% of the grist. It produces robust malt characteristics, including full body, amber color, and smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is strongly malty and the rich aroma has notes of light caramel, honey, and bread. Munich malt is typically used in dark lagers and ales, especially Munich-style lagers, various bock styles, and German festival beers like Märzenbier, Festbier, and Oktoberfest.

Munich 2

Weyermann® Munich Type 2 malt ('Dark Munich') is a kilned lager-style malt made from quality, two-row, German spring barley. Wheat malt - white

Wheat malt is an ideal foundation grain for continental wheat beer styles like Hefeweizen and Kristallweizen, and an essential ingredient in North American wheat ales. It adds very little color to wort but contributes a robust, malty-sweet flavor with notes of bread, nuts, toffee, and light caramel. Wheat malts are high in protein, which helps produce fuller-bodied beers. Wheat malt can also improve head formation and retention, depending upon the other grist constituents. In top-fermented beers, Weyermann® Pale Wheat malt performs especially well, adding creaminess, body, and complex wheat flavors.

Vienna

Vienna malt is a lightly kilned lager-style malt made from quality, two-row, German spring barley. It produces full-bodied beers with golden color and smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is malty-sweet with gentle notes of honey, almond, and hazelnut. Equally suited to both ales and lagers, Weyermann® Vienna malt is specifically designed for use in Vienna style beers, Festibiere, and Maerzenbier.

Bonlander Munich 10L

Color 10° L.

A bready, sweet American Munich malt, made in the style of the classic European maltsters. This malt is a great addition to porters and brown ales, and makes great Oktoberfests and Altbiers.

Maris Otter (Bairds)

Maris Otter is a British barley malt variety known for producing beers with a full malty flavor.

Color: 2.5L - 3.5L

Abbey

Weyermann® Abbey Malt® is a highly friable base malt with pronounced malty aromas, and assertive flavors such as honey, nuts as well as hints of chocolate.  Suitable for traditional Abbey ales, as well as Trappist beers.  Also well suited for a full range for Belgian beer styles, including fruit beers.

Tipo de Malta: Special Color: 1.5 °Lovibond (2.0 EBC) Humedad: 6.5% max. Extracto: 75% min. Poder diastasico: 0 °Lintner Uso: 5% max.

Añade cuerpo, la retención de espuma, y la estabilidad de la cerveza sin influir en color o aroma. Tiene el aspecto vítreo completo de una malta de caramelo sin el color o el sabor. Los no fermentables en Carapils® son muy ventajosos en el equilibrio del cuerpo y el sabor de cervezas de color oscuro, pero se pueden utilizar para mejorar cervezas de cualquier tipo. Malta Carapils® carece de enzimas.

Caramel/Crystal 10°L

Briess 2-Row Caramel 10°L es una malta cristal muy ligera hecha con cebada de 2 filas. Se imparte un color dorado, dulzura como el caramelo, y sabor a caramelo suave. Estas maltas también añaden cuerpo y mejorar la retención de la espuma. El uso es progresivo, comenzando claro para equilibrar pilsners y alcanzando el uso máximo del 15% para dar color y dulzura a cervezas más oscuras, cerveza negra y porters.

Caramel/Crystal 20°L

Esta malta caramelo 2 - Row, añade sabores únicos de cervezas de estilo de Vienna y estilo Belgian Abbey Ales . Imparte tonalidades de oro, y sabores de caramelo blando, caramelo y de malta. Extracto: 78% Uso: 10% Humedad: 4.5%

Caramel/Crystal 40°L

Caramel 40L es una malta caramelo medio popular y versátil que contribuirá ricos tonos dorados y suaves sabores de caramelo dulce y caramelo. Uso: 15% Extracto: 75% Humedad: 5.5%

Caramel/Crystal 60°L

Caramel 60°L es una malta ampliamente utilizada, versátil, malta media cristal, que contribuirá una dulzura rica y agradable pan tostado y pronunciado, sabor a caramelo con una tonalidad rojiza. Se utiliza en numerosos estilos de cerveza para mejorar el cuerpo y estabilidad de la espuma , así como el sabor adicional y color. Uso: hasta 15% Extracto: 76% Humedad: 5%

Caramel/Crystal 80°L

Pronounced caramel, slight burnt sugar, raisiny.

Caramel/Crystal 120°L

CaraRed (Weyermann)

CaraRed de Weyermann imparte cuerpo a la cerveza, tiene un aroma de malta mejorada, color saturado y es rojo.

Para cervezas tipo: Red Ale, Red Lager, Scottish Ale, Amber Wheat, Bock Beer, Brown Ale, Alt Beer

Carahell (Weyermann)

Carahell de Weyerman tiene es una malta que provee cuerpo bien completo, aroma mejorado, tiene buen efecto en la espuma de la cerveza, buenos sabores y color saturado.

Uso del 10% al 15% regularmente son para cervezas tipo: "Hefe-Weizen", Pale Ale, Golden Ale, October Beer, Nourishing Beer, "Maibock".

Uso hasta el 30%, normalmente se usan para cervezas tipo: "Schankbier", cervezas light, cervezas reducidas en alcohol, cervezas sin alcohol.

CaraAroma (Weyermann)

Weyermann® CARAAROMA® is a drum-roasted caramel malt made from two-row, German barley. CARAROMA® delivers notes of roasted nuts, dark caramel, died fruit while imparting deep amber and red hues to the finished beer.  CARAAROMA® can also be used to add body to the beer.  Great for Amber Ales and Lagers,  Stouts, Porters, Bocks and Dunkel Lager.

CaraFoam (Weyermann)

Weyermann® CARAFOAM® is a drum-roasted caramel malt made from two-row, German barley which is especially successful when used to aid in creating better foam improvement, improved head retention and a fuller body.  Suitable for all styles where these characteristics are desired.

CaraBelge (Weyermann)

Weyermann® CARABELGE® is a drum-roasted caramel malt made from two-row, German barley that can be used to deliver mild and restrained notes of caramel flavor and aroma, while also imparting notes of died fruits and nuts.  With a lower Lovibond, it imparts a honey-colored hue to the finished beer.

Suitable for Belgian style beers like Blondes, Bruins, and Ambers, as well as Triples and Dubbels.

Caramunich type 1 (Weyermann)

Weyermann® CARAMUNICH® Type 1 is a drum-roasted caramel malt made from two-row, German barley. It contributes dark amber to copper hues, and adds a rich malt accent with notes of biscuit and an intense caramel aroma. CARAMUNICH® Type 1 also add body and improve head retention. Suitable for use in all lager and ale styles of beer.

CaraCrystal Wheat (Briess)

Caracrystal® Wheat Malt can be used in an extremely wide variety of beer styles for improved body, foam and foam retention, flavor and color. Highly recommended for all beer styles using caramel malts such as IPAs, Pale Ales, low alcohol beers, wheat beers, Bock beers, and session beers where a touch of subtle caramel plus smooth dark toast flavor is beneficial.

Special Roast

Special Roast es una malta tostada ámbar oscuro. Un poco más oscuro que las maltas de estilo Biscuit. Special Roast tiene un sabor a bizcocho tostado. Imparte un dorado profundo a marrón , dependiendo del uso. Recomendado para las cervezas de estilo oscuras, especialmente las IPAs , ESB, ámbar y cervezas marrones-nuez, y las porters

Special W (Weyermann)

Weyermann® Special W® imparts strong raisin, dark fruit and bready flavor, and can be used in wide range of Belgian beer styles, as well as other styles looking to add hints of dark fruit.

Victory (Briess)

Victory® is Briess’ biscuit style malt, lightly roasted to bring out the nutty, toasty, and biscuit flavors and aromas associated with baking bread. It’s an excellent malt for adding a layer of dry toasted complexity and a russet brown color to a wide range of beer styles. Use in small amounts to add a touch of warmth to light ales or lagers, or use in larger amounts (up top 25%) in darker beers to bring out more of the toasted biscuit flavors. 28°L

Melanoidin (Weyermann)

Weyermann® Melanoidin is a kilned specialty malt with an intense malt aroma and unique brewing characteristics. It has a high degree of modification of both proteins and starches, excellent friability, low β-glucan values, and high acidity. These attributes help promote flavor stability, add body, and produce a smooth mouthfeel. Weyermann® Melanoidin malt adds a deep amber to red-brown color to finished beer. The rich malt flavor has notes of honey and biscuit. Melanoidin malt is best used in dark or red-colored beers such as amber ales, scottish ales, Irish red ales, bocks, and Kellerbier.

Acidulated (Weyermann)

Use of Acidulated Malt can lower wort pH resulting in better mash efficiency, intensified fermentation, lighter color, improved flavor stability and enhanced flavor.

Red Wheat (Briess)

2.3-3.9° L. This is an heirloom malt known for its use in Grätzer/Grodziskie, a smoked wheat beer once popular in Northern Germany and Poland.

Chocolate Malt (Briess)

Carafa 1, 2, 3 (Weyermann)

It's carefully roasted to add an espresso-like bouquet, coffee and chocolate flavors, and a mild but noticeable roasted aftertaste. It produces opaque beer with coffee-brown color. Weyermann® CARAFA® Type 1 is similar to 'Chocolate' style roasted malts, and can be used in any dark lager or ale.

Weyermann® CARAFA® Type 2 is a roasted specialty malt made from high-quality spring barley. It's carefully roasted to add an espresso-like bouquet, coffee and chocolate flavors, and a mild but noticeable roasted aftertaste. It produces opaque beer with dark brown color. Weyermann® CARAFA® Type 2 is suitable in any dark lager or ale.

Weyermann® CARAFA® Type 3 is a dark-roasted specialty malt made from high-quality spring barley. It's carefully roasted to add an espresso-like bouquet, coffee and chocolate flavors, and a mild but noticeable roasted aftertaste. It produces opaque beer with brown/black color. Weyermann® CARAFA® Type 3 is similar to 'Chocolate' or 'Black' style roasted malts, and can be used in any dark lager or ale.  CARAFA® Type 3 has become particularly popular in Black IPA/Cascadian Dark Ale recipes as a major contributor to the color and malt flavor.

Roasted Barley (Weyermann)

Weyermann® Roasted Barley  is a roasted, unmalted barley grain has a full, roasted aroma. Excellent for stouts and other dark beers.

Blackprinz (Briess)

500º L. This is a dehusked roasted malt that provides intense color without bitterness or astringency. The delicate roasted flavor is at home in schwarzbier or Black IPAs, or use at small rates to provide color to amber ales or porters.

Midnight Wheat (Briess)

Dried bitter orange peel gives a citrusy, herbal aroma commonly used in Belgian Witbier, Grand Crus and other light-colored styles.
